On September 3, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on corrosion inhibitors imported from China. The preliminary ruling was that the dumping rate of Chinese producers / exporters was 122.11% - 260.92%, and the tax rate was detailed in the table below. The U.S. Department of commerce is expected to make a final anti-dumping ruling on January 19, 2021. This case involves the United States harmonized tariff codes 2933.99.8210 and 2933.99.8220.
On February 26, 2020, in response to the application submitted by wincom, incorporated, an American enterprise, on February 5, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced the initiation of an anti-dumping and countervailing investigation against corrosion inhibitors imported from China. On March 19, 2020, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to make an affirmative preliminary determination on anti-dumping and countervailing industrial injury of corrosion inhibitors imported from China. On July 7, 2020, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced a preliminary countervailing ruling on corrosion inhibitors imported from China. According to the US statistics, the total import amount of corrosion inhibitor imported from China by the United States in 2019 is about 16.277 million US dollars.
