Eurasian Economic Union makes final anti-dumping ruling on aluminum strip products related to China

On July 20, 2020, the internal market protection department of the Eurasian Economic Commission issued announcement No. 2020 / 223 / AD28 on the official website of the Eurasian Economic Union, making a positive final determination on the anti-dumping of aluminum strip products originated in China and Azerbaijan (Russian: алента), and suggested that Nantong Hengjin composite material Co., Ltd All Chinese enterprises involved in the case, including Co., Ltd., are subject to 13.14% anti-dumping duty, and 16.18% anti-dumping duty is imposed on Azerbaijani enterprises involved, with a validity period of five years. The product is aluminum strip with thickness greater than 0.2 mm but less than 3 mm, with or without coating (except aluminum strip for aluminum can products). The case involved products under tax codes 7606119100, 7606122009 and 7606129209.


Stakeholders should submit comments on the case before August 4, 2020.


On May 7, 2019, the Eurasian Economic Union issued announcement No. 2019 / 165 / AD28, which decided to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on aluminum strip products originating in China and Azerbaijan in response to the application submitted by the Federation of producers, suppliers and consumers of aluminum products of Eurasian Economic Union.






Vietnam's final anti-dumping ruling on China related polypropylene films:


On July 20, 2020, the Ministry of industry and trade of Vietnam issued Resolution No. 1900 / Q Đ - BCT, which is aimed at improving the quality of biaxially oriented polypropylene films (m à ng, Vietnamese) from China, Malaysia and Thailand BOPP) decided to impose 9.05-23.71%, 18.87-23.42% and 17.30-20.35% anti-dumping duties on the products involved in the case of China, Malaysia and Thailand respectively, which will take effect from July 23, 2020 and be valid for five years. The case involved products under Vietnamese tax codes 3920.20.10 and 3920.20.91. The tax rates of Chinese enterprises involved in the case are shown in the following table:


On August 5, 2019, Vietnam's Ministry of industry and Trade issued resolution 2334 / qd-bct to initiate an anti-dumping investigation on biaxially oriented polypropylene films originating in China, Malaysia and Thailand. On March 18, 2020, Vietnam's Ministry of industry and Trade issued resolution 880 / qd-bct, imposing provisional anti-dumping duties of 14.99% - 43.04%, 10.91% - 23.05% and 20.35% respectively on biaxially oriented polypropylene films from China, Malaysia and Thailand.
